Student Choice Awards (Superlatives)
….So yesterday, there were Student Choice Awards for the middle and high school.
The Choice Awards started late (of course). When it did, there was first a talent showcase of two sixth graders who performed Young, Wild, and Free by Wiz Khalifa. pretty much word for word. I’ll remind you of the lyrics….’So what we get drunk? So what we smoke weed? We’re just having fun, we don’t care who sees.’…..’Uh uh huh, so what I keep em rolled up, saggin my pants, keep it real with my niggas, keep it player with my hoes.
so yeaaaaaaaa.
and there were a couple parents there, to everyone’s dismay. the boys were tryna bleep out the bad words but I think they were nervous so yea, allathat came out. then the handing out of awards started, and the categories were most flirtatious, most compatible couple, best personality, most musically inclined, best car/worst car, etc…..
THE POINT IS.
the boy and girl that got voted most compatible couple were caught on the bus having sex coming back from Orlando. the crowd went CRAZY when their names were called. oh. this was the middle school award. *sigh the type of news that makes you feel all melancholy.
….needless to say I needed a drink after work yesterday.
So…
I’ve decided to use my blog a little bit more. I have some stories to tell, I actually think my life is somewhat interesting/funny on a day to day basis. I work at a predominantly black school. these kids are kinda bad smart. they have the most potential. they’re fun to chronicle. plus all the other stuff that goes on in Talla-NASTY for the summer. (I can’t stand when people say that) but yeah.
I am ready for love, all of the joy and the pain, all the time that it takes…just to stay in your good grace….lately, I’ve been thinking that you’re not ready for me…maybe you think I need to learn maturity

speaking of natural. it’s been almost a year and I LOVE my curls. as much grief as I get sometimes with my natural hair, I could never see myself going back to a perm. This has to be thee healthiest thing I’ve ever done for my hair. Ima try to find a before and after for yall.
